We have had a blast of early fall weather this weekend inspiring us to get started on our fall candles. We are using pure soy wax (we usually use a mix of soy and coconut) and testing out some spiced apple and spiced pumpkin scents. I have already made my favourite fall scent which is a warm vanilla. We’ll post some pics of the completed and decorated votives. Plus, we are obsessed with making Halloween bookmarks. We’ve been busy painting spooky wooden embellishments and matching them up with fantastic Halloween decorative paper. We’ll post the pics when those are done as well.

New Candles

We have some new palo santo and sage candles. Our candles are a soy/coconut wax with pure essential oils, and vegetable based color.

Fall/Winter Candles

The fall/winter part of the year is upon us and we find ourselves craving warmth and comfort. How does apple cider or spiced pumpkin sound? Warm vanilla anyone? These are a few of our favourite scents that carry us from Samhain all the way to Yule. We kept them simple to fit anyone’s fall/winter decor.

Bookmarks

One of our favourite things to do with excess paper from our paper books is to make bookmarks. These bookmarks give us so much joy! We are always making sure to have as little waste as possible no matter what we are creating. These bookmarks are budget friendly, eco-friendly and a nice addition to a gift or a small treat to yourself. Here are some pics:

Mini/Portable Altar

Here is a peak at a mini/portable altar. This is light enough to carry, small enough to fit on a shelf but large enough to hold everything you need for ritual or spell craft. It would also make a great altar for those who are still in the broom closet. This contains a handmade altar plate, white chime candles and white tea lites, loose sage, a palo santo stick, abalone shell, glass tube of salt and another with mugwort, a charm bag, a mini pack of parchment paper and a beautiful pen and of course anointing oil and frankincense oil and an empty vial to be filled with whatever one wishes.

Chakra Kits

Our new Chakra Kits with everything needed to balance and connect with your chakras in a unique bamboo box. We have mixed custom essential oil blends for each chakra:

We found some really cool embellishments including washi tape to compliment the weathered look of the paper, envelopes of course, and one of my favourite style pens. We up-cycled a photo box made of nice, heavy duty wood with an espresso color stain.

Ideas to Use Paper Books

Here are some ideas for how to use a mini album to commemorate a trip: there are ticket stubs, pictures, metro pass and notes. While not shown in the pictures there are logos cut out from the paper bags of a favourite bakery, the MoMA, bookmarks and more.
